1Scope
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to every HostingStall service and to everyone who uses it, including your own customers and users. You are responsible for their activity on your services. This AUP forms part of our Terms of Service.
2Illegal and harmful content
You must not use our services to store, send or link to:
- child sexual abuse material (we report it to the authorities immediately);
- content that infringes copyright, trademarks or other rights, such as pirated software or media;
- phishing pages, scams, fake shops or other fraud;
- malware, ransomware or botnet control servers;
- content that promotes terrorism or violence, or is otherwise illegal.
3Email and spam
- Do not send unsolicited bulk or commercial email. Mailing lists must be opt-in, and every message must include a working unsubscribe link.
- Do not use purchased or harvested address lists.
- Do not host websites advertised through spam.
- Mail servers must not be open relays.
We monitor our IP addresses against major blacklists. If an address is listed because of your activity, you must fix the cause before we request removal.
4Network abuse
You must not:
- scan, probe or attack other systems, or try to gain unauthorised access;
- launch or take part in denial-of-service attacks;
- forge packet headers or use IP addresses that are not assigned to you;
- run open proxies or open DNS resolvers that can be used for abuse;
- intercept other people's traffic.
6Cryptocurrency mining
Cryptocurrency mining is not permitted on web hosting, cloud VPS or virtual dedicated servers. On dedicated servers it needs our written approval in advance.
7Security
Keep your software up to date, use strong passwords and secure every service you run. If your service is compromised and attacks other systems, we may isolate it until it has been cleaned.
8IP addresses and routing
- Use only the IP addresses assigned to you.
- Reverse DNS (PTR) records must be accurate and not misleading.
- If we announce your own address space through Bring Your Own IP, you must hold the rights to it and keep valid ROA and route objects.
9Enforcement
We investigate every abuse report. Usually we forward the report to you and expect a response within 24 hours. For serious threats, such as attacks, phishing or illegal content, we may suspend a service immediately and without notice. Repeated or serious violations can lead to termination without refund. We cooperate with law enforcement when required.
10Reporting abuse
To report abuse coming from our network, email support@hostingstall.com with the subject "Abuse report". Please include the IP address involved, the date and time with time zone, and evidence such as logs or full email headers.
11Changes to this policy
We may update this AUP from time to time. The current version is always on this page with its last-updated date.
